Robert W. Bailey is the president of Computer Psychology, Inc. He approaches the issues related to usability, interface design, and user experience from the perspective of a computer psychologist with almost 50 years of experience. He holds a Ph.D. degree from Rice University in human performance psychology.
He draws from years of experience in the Human Performance Technology Center at Bell Laboratories. While there, he pioneered many new ideas, including a user interface design model, numerous ways to understand and reduce human errors, and the effective use of usability tools, particularly for usability testing.
Dr. Bailey is an excellent teacher, and has instructed computer professionals throughout the world. He has served on the faculties of numerous schools, including Columbia University and Stevens Institute of Technology. He is the author of numerous published articles, an annual User Interface Update, and six popular books.
